Best dream destination for condos

The Caribbean

Whether it’s the golden beaches, the amazing aromatic food or the incredible laidback lifestyle, it’s easy to see why so many people decide to buy a condo in the Caribbean.

Not only are their beaches amazing but the history and culture behind the islands are enthralling too. If you choose the Caribbean islands for your condo location, we can almost guarantee that you’d be immediately immersed in the rich culture and learn about the history of this fantastic part of the world.

The Caribbean islands are easily accessible, with regular flights from New York and Boston. You can spend those hard-earned US Dollars too on most of the islands, so you don’t have to fuss around exchanging money.

The islands truly are beautiful and once you’ve seen the golden beaches, had a taste for the chilled out lifestyle and tangled with the most welcoming people, you’ll fall in love with this place for sure.

Two of the most popular areas for condo buyers in The Caribbean are:

  • Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands

  • Grand Cayman

Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands

Situated north of the Dominican and Republic, Turks and Caicos is considered to be a true gem of The Caribbean. This luxurious island will take your breath away with some of the most picturesque beaches and true blue ocean you’ll find anywhere in the world.

And don’t just take our word for it. Both Grace Bay and Taylor Bay Beach are critically acclaimed as two of the best beaches in the world. Whether you’re relaxing on the soft, golden sand or taking a dip in the ocean with the fish and turtles, you’ll realize you’ve found a true paradise on earth here.

You might be thinking that unreal beaches are common all around The Caribbean, but you won’t find any quite like the ones in Providenciales. Some are surrounded by the amazing limestone cliffs that act as a beautiful backdrop when the sun is dropping over the horizon. It’s impossible not to love this fantastic island.

The island is really accessible too, with direct flights taking four hours from New York and just 90 minutes from Miami. There are direct flights from more than 20 cities across the US and Canada.

Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is the perfect place to buy your dream condo if you’re into arts and different cultures. The two are fused together beautifully and with the addition of amazing natural surroundings. You really do have the perfect place to reside and forget about your everyday troubles and the big city hustle and bustle.

If you can manage to drag yourself away from the relaxation hotspots that are the beaches, George Town is perfect for a spot of luxury shopping, traditional architecture and classic modern amenities. Or if you prefer, why not meet local tradesman and check out the traditional Caribbean trade and find an awesome, unique gift for a loved one or your new condo.

The food here is to die for. You won’t find fresh fish like it for miles. Be sure to check out various of the local seafood restaurants and you won’t be disappointed. After all, the only thing less impressive than some of the tales told by the locals are the flavors here.

Direct flights take approximately four hours from New York.

The Bahamas

The Bahamas has 700+ islands - that’s a lot of places for your dream condo. As you can imagine, the island life is all about sun, sea and sand.

The capital Nassau is one of the great cruise ship ports and like the islands themselves, offer plenty to love.

Nassau is also the main focus for condo buyers. Imagine kicking back in your condo overlooking a lush garden and pool deck. Isn’t that everything you need to escape the stresses of city life?

For a lot of visitors to the islands, fishing is a big thing. Does it get more relaxing than that? Sun beating down, cold beer in hand and waiting to catch and cook your dinner fresh.

There are daily flights to Nassau from major cities in Canada, the Caribbean, the UK and the US. Flights from New York take approximately three and a half hours.

Bermuda

If you’re looking for the optimal place to escape everything about big city life and get involved in quite frankly the opposite, well in Bermuda, you’ve found it. Our personal favorite offers the perfect time-travel experience at its finest. Historic forts, tennis courts and major complexes, afternoon teas, deep-sea fishing, parasailing, the list goes on…

Bermuda is well known for its sailing, golf and snorkelling or diving on its beautiful coral reefs. Not only this, it has an 18-mile trail route for hiking, cycling and horse riding too. The trails take you past poster bays which provide some of the most stunning views that you’ll ever see.

Try your hand at diving from the beach or snorkel in 25-feet deep waters marvelling at various cool shipwrecks.

Dive into their culture and try some of their world-renowned Bermuda fish chowder, codfish and potatoes or the famous Bermuda Rum Swizzle. And why not buy yourself a pair of Bermuda shorts? When in Rome.

Picture overlooking the ocean in the morning from your condo and seeing a whale or two easing their way along the coast. You don’t get that in the Hudson River, do you? It’s the ultimate place for the perfect condo.

Bermuda is an absolute paradise. Whether it’s the amazing beaches, the incredible views, the hiking and cycling trails or the incredible history, there’s something for everybody and that’s why it’s our favorite.

You can take strolls down the picturesque pink sand beaches, marvel at the stunning sunsets or sample Bermuda’s culture in historic St Georges, at The Royal Naval Dockyard or in Hamilton, Bermuda’s capital.

If you want to take a trip through time, this island’s the place to be. From historic architecture to afternoon teas and playing golf or tennis in “proper” attire.

Here you can enjoy the courtesy and character that stem from Bermuda’s ties with Great Britain (Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory) – and all in a sub-tropical island paradise.

There are regular direct flights from Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto and New York and flights from NYC take just one hour and 30 mins, making this the perfect location for long weekend breaks to your vacation home.

So, Which is Best?

The rich cultures of the Caribbean islands, the Bahamas and Bermuda might seem similar, but there are some major differences.

All have amazing beaches. All have great fishing and water sports, each has its own different culture and way of life. Some are more laid back. Some are more sophisticated. Some are better for shorter more frequent visits.

Ultimately, it depends on the culture you find most appealing, ease of access, the kind of condo home you’re after and how you are going to use it.

For us, we love Bermuda. We totally fell in love with this place as soon as we stepped off the plane and we think that you would too.
